This interactive sculpture explores both the psychological and the physical, representing the complexities of the mind.
The outer form consists of polished, cleanly finished cubes with a pristine aesthetic — an external façade symbolising how individuals present themselves to others. The scale and architectural presence of the piece evoke a sense of grounding, reflecting how physical surroundings anchor us within the tangible world.
Within this structure lies a fragile and intricate interior, serving as a metaphor for psychological space. This vulnerable core represents the labyrinth of the mind: an ongoing analytical process that dissects thoughts, emotions, and states of being.
The internal models evoke scaffolding under construction, emphasising the ever-evolving nature of self-awareness and mental exploration.
The dice-like quality of the vaults suggests the interplay between chance and control throughout life’s unpredictable journey. Ladders weave through this psychological space, symbolising movement, progression, and the possibility of connection between mind and body.
The sculpture confronts the tension between these two realms, transforming the intangible, deeply personal experience of mental analysis into a physical, spatial reality.
